1st pre-reading blog

Here you are in college. How’s that working out for you? Consider your educational experience to this point. What are your impressions of education? What do you seek to gain from education? Have you enjoyed your educational experience through high school? Why or why not? Please end your blog with at least one good critical question (refer to "How to Develop a Critical Question").Define the following: Rationalism, Anti-Rationalism, Fundamentalism

Here I am in college. College is nothing that I expected it to be. As a nursing student, the lab classes I am required to take are sucking the life out of me. I dedicate almost all of my time to studying and doing homework. I have completely lost who I am due to school. As demanding as school is, I would still rather be in school as opposed to working 40 hours a week at a job that does not pay as much as I would like to make. My impressions of school are that each class is designed to bring something out of one, that one did not know was there. School is designed to make one think in ways unimaginable and to create new neuron pathways. I seek to gain strength in problem solving, critical thinking, and to simply learn as much material that my brain can absorb. I hated my educational experience through high school. I skated through school, not putting much effort in, and receiving very good grades. I think the only thing I learned was the art of manipulation. To what extent do primary education teachers need to push students to best prepare for college? Why is America one of the wealthiest countries but, does not offer free secondary education?

Rationalism-using reason as the main source of knowledge, using reason as a foundation of truth

Anti-Rationalism-using faith or irrational thinking as a foundation of truth

Fundamentalism-a group of principles that usually face criticism
